Using Slide Show DVD

The Slide Show DVD is located in the Standard Catalog in Lab LinK Plus. Begin by browsing to your files. You can use your hi-res camera files or order from a Studio Lab LinK CD and we will create a DVD using our color corrected hi-res scans we have archived. Remove any unwanted images by right-clicking and choosing "remove". You can arrange the order of your images by clicking one and dragging it to a different location in the thumbnails window. The images will appear in the Slide Show in the order that you see them here. It is also important to make sure your images are rotated correctly. You can change the ../../rotation by right-clicking on the image and choosing "rotate Thumbnail".

In just minutes you can select transitions and fades, add background music, and design a personalized cover. We've made it as easy as we've made creating custom albums. In fact, you can even add the album pages you've designed to your Slide Show DVD.

Next choose Color Correct Images for Lab Controlled Color. If you are ordering proofs with your Slide Show DVD or you are ordering from a Studio Lab LinK CD leave this box unchecked. Set a Border Color. Lab LinK Plus can add borders automatically to fit your images to the aspect ratio of a television screen without cropping out any of the image. You can also select "crop" from the Crop or Fit button on the toolbar below to crop your images without adding borders. You can also set the Image Color to be B&W or Sepia. Once these options are set simply drag your selected images onto the product.

Now that your images are added it's time to choose a cover. We offer three pre-designed covers, a Custom Cover with text that allows you to drop in any image as a background and still type your text in Lab LinK Plus or use the Custom Cover without text and design your own cover and text in PhotoShop. There is no additional charge for a cover.

In the options palette for the cover is where you will set the playback options for the slideshow. Choose one of our four background tracks or add any MP3 from your own computer simply by clicking the Use Custom Music button and navigating to your file in the window that opens.

Set the transition effect. Images will either fade into each other or alternate randomly between fades, dissolves, and wipes.

Duration is the number of seconds that the image is displayed during playback. The longer the duration the longer your slideshow is. For example, 100 images at 7 seconds takes 15 minutes to play back. At 3 seconds your slideshow will take 81/2 minutes to play back.

Zooming is an eye-catching effect that slowly moves inward on each image, giving your slideshow the look of a television documentary rather than simply displaying static images.

Once you have the Slide Show options set just click the "Add to Order" button and proceed to the Review Order screen.
