Digital Art Work Services

Our Digital Art Services are an affordable way to correct imperfections in your files. We offer a full range of retouching services - everything from removing minor blemishes to inserting people seamlessly into group shots. Many of our retouching options can be found under the "Image Options" tab in LabLink Plus. If you don't see the exact service you're looking for just include your request in the special instructions field. We'll get back to you promptly with a price quote. Test prints are available for your approval before final printing on large prints or quantity orders.

Color Splash

Color Splash prints are B & W prints with selected color. We start by selecting the area(s) you designated to remain in color such as flowers, or clothing, then through Photoshop, we remove the color from the remaining areas and print the image directly onto photographic paper. The results are a stunning B&W photograph with splashes of color. Available in print sizes up to 30x40, these prints give your work a very unique look! Color Splash can be ordered in Lab Link Plus. Use the "color splash" option in the "image options" window. Please give very specific instructions for areas to remain in color.

Digital Retouching

Digital Retouching combining the flexibility and creativity of digital technology at traditional prices. Each digital file or scanned negative is retouched digitally, and then printed directly onto photographic paper via Kodak's digital printers. The results are matched prints from wallets to 30x40" that require no additional dye blending or art work.

Please be sure to check the "Basic Retouching" box in Lab LinK Plus for retouching services. To insure quality, we automatically upgrade retouching service levels when necessary. Additional special instructions can be typed in the "Special Instructions" box.

Reordering Previously Retouched files

Request an Archive CD for Permanent Storage

When requesting additional prints from previously retouched files (basic or heavy facial retouching) please remember the following:
  • Always reference the original order number from which the retouching service was requested.
    Without this information we will not be able to locate your retouched files on our server.
  • Retouching is not charged a 2nd time if your new order is placed within 30 days of your 1st order. (LustreColor holds retouched files in "live" storage for only 30 days)
  • Request Archive Retouching ($5.00 per order) if you would like a CD returned to you with the retouching. (Lab LinK users can check the "Burn Retouched Hi Res Files To Disk" in the review order screen. Cut negative customers must write "Archive Retouching" on the order form and glassine bag.
